FIREHOUSE RESIDENT COMPANY

DOG MOM

by Tate Elizabeth Hanyok

Direction by Rick St. Peter

Produced by Cadence

Liz is fresh off a divorce and on a mission to reclaim her life. She may be lost but she knows one thing-- Liz is NOT a dog person. But when a scruffy stray pooch shows up on her stoop—Liz is thrust into a new kind of identity crisis: accidental Dog Mom. She's soon swirling with unsolicited advice from strangers, dog park people, and the overwhelming feeling that she’s doing it all wrong. In this story of unexpected friendship-- walk by walk, Liz begins to open up to a new kind of love and finds that the most surprising part of being a Dog Mom… is just how much she needed it. A NNPN Rolling World Premiere Comedy!

DOG MOM is produced at Cadence as part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. Other Partner Theaters are B Street Theatre (Sacramento, California), Oregon Contemporary Theatre (Eugene, Oregon), Florida Studio Theatre (Sarasota, Florida), and EnActe Arts (Sunnyvale, California).
