FIREHOUSE PLAYS: THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY (summer 2020) - WORLD PREMIERE of Oscar Wilde’s scandalous Victorian novel as a tour de force solo performance by Billy Christopher Maupin; THE ZOMBIE LIFE (summer 2020) - Chris Gavaler’s WORLD PREMIERE play offers an intriguing alternative to our complicated existence; WAR IN PIECES (fall 2020) - Festival of WORLD PREMIERE one-acts by 4 military veterans, featuring some of RVA’s favorite directors, designers, and performers, in partnership with the Virginia War Memorial; A SINGLE PRAYER (fall 2020) - WORLD PREMIERE of K. Jenkins’ lyrical play about finding our place in a confusing universe; GABRIEL (winter 2021) - WORLD PREMIERE of Ron Klipp’s powerful new musical about the leader of Virginia’s thwarted slave rebellion of 1800; KRAPP’S LAST TAPE (spring 2021) - Samuel Beckett’s seminal work for a single actor, performed by Alan Sader.
