Firehouse Theatre is pleased to announce our 2021-2022 SEASON OF reNEWal.
This season we’ll produce the world premieres that COVID cancelled last year, plus some surprises. We also celebrate the return of some of our Firehouse Fringe and Firehouse Studio programs.
WALLED IN (May/June 2021) - Andrew Gall's WORLD PREMIERE play where MAGA collides with Henry David Thoreau's WALDEN; THE ZOMBIE LIFE (August 2021) - Chris Gavaler’s WORLD PREMIERE play offers an intriguing alternative to our complicated existence; WAR IN PIECES (September/October 2021) - A festival of WORLD PREMIERE one-acts by military veterans, featuring some of Richmond's best directors, designers, and performers; SECRET (November 2021) Workshop of a WORLD PREMIERE new musical in development; GABRIEL (January/February 2022) - WORLD PREMIERE of Ron Klipp’s powerful new musical about the true but little known story of Virginia’s thwarted slave rebellion in 1800; A SINGLE PRAYER (April/May 2022) - WORLD PREMIERE of K. Jenkins’ lyrical play about finding our place in a confusing universe; SURPRISE (May 2022) - we're looking at a few new scripts that we'll produce in this slot.
