FIREHOUSE LADDER PROGRAM
Firehouse Theatre is assembling a team of highly motivated, passionate, and collaborative individuals who are interested in joining our Firehouse Ladder Program. The Ladder Program is offered throughout the year and is designed for college students, recent grads, and folks of all ages who want to continue to learn and grow their craft in an immersive, professional environment. Apprentices have opportunities to learn and work across production, performance, and management areas.
Firehouse is an active artistic home that develops and produces 100+ performances of all kind each year, so apprentices can contribute to music concerts, dance, stand-up, vaudeville, and other kinds of work in addition to theatre productions. Apprenticeships are customized to each participant's interests and Firehouse's needs.
We select apprentices based on a cover letter, resume, and interview (in person, remote, phone). Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. At this time Firehouse doesn't provide a stipend. Apprentices must arrange and cover their own housing and travel expenses, as well as any college credit that may be available. Work hours are flexible but generally apprentices must be willing to devote a minimum of 20 hours a week for at least one month. Final details and expectations will be discussed and agreed on before beginning the program.
