Support the Firehouse’s Capital Campaign
In November 2008, the Firehouse was awarded a $48,000 challenge grant from the Robert G. Cabell III and Maude Morgan Cabell Foundation to support the renovation of the theater. We have made progress toward matching these funds but still need your help. Every dollar you give has twice the benefit to the Firehouse.
Our first priority was to install new seats, which we completed in September 2009. Seat sponsorships are available at the $250 and $500 levels. A gift of $250 will be recognized with a plaque on a seat with other donors, while a gift of $500 or more *guarantees exclusive recognition* on a seat.
As a donor, you are investing in the Firehouse’s future.
Your gift will be dedicated to on-going capital needs, including the construction of a set shop, improved soundproofing and sound equipment, and the overall care of this 105-year-old facility. Assisting with these needs will improve your experience as a valued Firehouse patron!

The future is undeniably bright at 1609 West Broad Street, but it takes more than just enthusiasm to maintain an historic building and to keep a theatre company alive. These are challenging times for us all. Recent economic conditions have caused significant shortfalls in state and local arts funding. And, with ticket sales accounting for less than 50 percent of our operating budget, individual contributions are now more vital than ever.

Ukrops Golden Gift Program
The Firehouse Theatre Project is eligible for Ukrops Golden Gift program contributions. The 2009 Golden Gift program runs March 2-28, so start shopping! Ukrop’s gives back $200,000 to non-profit organizations in your community, at your direction! Everybody’s gotta eat - here’s a “no-brainer” way to support your favorite theater, and your favorite locally owned grocery store at the same time. Golden Gift certificates arrive in mailboxes in May - Please remember the Firehouse when you get your Golden receipts in the mail, and drop them off to the Firehouse by May 31!
