Fall Acting Class Schedule

Sept. 14 Class is Full
The 8-week adult acting class taught by Carol Piersol begin Monday, Sept. 14, is now full.
Saturday Mornings - Fall Acting Classes start Sept. 26!
Get in on the act through theater training under the supervision of actor/director Bill Patton. Many talented students have gone on to feature in future Firehouse productions, and beyond! Due to small student/instructor ratio, classes fill up fast!
Dates & Times: Six-week session begins Saturday, Sept. 26 and runs through Saturday, Oct. 31. Classes are held Saturday mornings, 10 a.m.-noon upstairs at the Firehouse Theatre, 1609 W. Broad Street, Richmond, Va.
Instructor: Bill Patton.
Cost: New students $120, Returning students, $90 for a six-week session.

Bill Patton will direct his 11th show with the Firehouse Theatre, This Is How It Goes by Neil LaBute which opens on Oct. 29th. Mr. Patton directed last season’s production of The Widow’s Blind Date by Israel Horovitz and has starred in two Firehouse shows. He has also been a judge and director for our Festival of New American Plays since its inception.
Tuesday Evening Stand Up Comedy Classes starts Sept. 29!
So you think you’re funny? Sign up and find out. Were you the class clown in school? Do you love a challenge? Then this class is for you.
Dates & Times: Six-week session begins Saturday, Sept. 29 and runs through Tuesday, Nov. 3. Classes are held Tuesday evenings, 7-9 p.m. A graduation ceremony will be held on Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Graduation night will showcase everyone’s work! Classes and graduation held at the Firehouse Theatre, 1609 W. Broad Street, Richmond, Va.
Instructor: actor/comedienne Steve Moore
Cost: $200 for the six-week course. This includes a 10-minute DVD of your stand-up performance during the showcase.

Steve Moore has opened for Ellen, RoseAnne, Dolly Parton and Rodney Dangerfield. He’s appeared on Comedy Central, Entertainment Tonight and had his own H.B.O. Special entitled, “Drop Dead Gorgeous”. He’s appeared in comedy clubs and colleges all across the country. He’s performed in Ireland, England, Australia, Scotland and most of the United States.
If you’re an actor, public speaker or just someone who might enjoy the art of stand-up comedy, this class is for you. Don’t hesitate to sign up - you’ll learn a lot about yourself. Being who you are is what will make you unique. The graduation will be in front of an audience and will be filmed so you will walk away from the class with a 10-minute DVD of your stand-up act.
