…And the Winners are…

Who, you must be wondering by now, are the two winning finalists of the Firehouse Theatre’s 5th Annual Festival of New American Plays contest, January 25-28, 2007? How should we know? We’re buried under a mountain of scripts, and slowly going blind! Due to its growing popularity, the New American Plays contest - celebrating new and emerging home-grown playwrights - grows bigger every year. When all is said and done, our army of script-reading volunteers will tackle more than 150 new scripts this fall, submitted from playwrights all over these here United States.
Read more about the contest and last year’s winner, stay tuned for the finalists to be named January 1, and don’t miss your chance to see the “play-off,” where you, avid theatre patron, can have a hand in selecting the Next Big Thing in American theatre. What else is there to do after the New Year, but wait for spring?
