Unwrap Your Candy
One-act plays by Doug Wright
Directed by Roy Proctor
The Bone Violin, Wildwood Park and Baby Talk
Doug Wright, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of I Am My Own Wife and Oscar winner for Quills combined three of his celebrated one-act “macabre bedtime tales for adults” into “Unwrap Your Candy,” which opened off-Broadway three weeks after 9/11. The funny-horrifying evening introduces audiences to characters ranging from an unborn baby who speaks to his mother from her womb to a prospective home buyer who may or may not be revisiting the scene of his grisly crime. Two of the plays were first published in “Best American Short Plays” anthologies.
Program begins at 7 p.m.
