20 Years!
Over 200 Young Playwrights!
More than 200 New Plays Staged!
The Firehouse Theatre Project turns its space over to the next wave of playwrights on Friday & Saturday July 10 and 11, when SPARC (School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community) celebrates the 20th anniversary of its statewide high-school playwriting competition and play festival, New Voices for the Theater and its Festival of New Works. The New Voices Festival of New Works is the culmination of a three-week intensive summer residency and workshop with professional theater artists, in which eight talented winners were chosen from among 150 scripts submitted to SPARC’s competition from high-schools across the Great State of Virginia.
